Make the Pinal County Historical Museum (PCHM) a destination for the family this summer! For the months of June and July, PCHM will offer summer hours. The museum and gift shop will be open Wednesday through Saturday from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm or by appointment; the museum will be closed the month of August and will resume regular hours in September.
They offer many family-friendly activities, including a scavenger hunt, a local geology activity, a desert animals activity, a reading nook, and more. Explore Arizona’s fascinating natural history in the local geology and desert animals activity as well as their brand-new Mountain Lion & Natural History exhibit. They will rotate the kids’ activities throughout the summer. There is no admission charge for children ages 18 and younger ($7 admission fee per adult).

Founded in 1958, the PCHM, a 501(c)3 nonprofit, is the oldest historical organization in Pinal County. The museum shares Florence’s and Pinal County’s history through exhibits and educational programming. Additionally, the museum houses a large archives from which exhibits and programs are created, as well as opportunities for academic and community-based research. Serving 5,000 visitors annually, PCHM is an economic asset to Florence.
